Matt Graden – Commercial Director, Beverages (Current Manager)

I’ve been lucky to work with Alexis Guetzlaff for the past two years, and am currently her manager at O-I Glass. As the Director of Marketing for Beverages, Alexis has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the beverage industry. Her experience in product management, marketing, and P&L ownership have been invaluable to our team. She is consistently coaching and challenging the team to improve and think more broadly and strategically.

Alexis approaches every challenge with enthusiasm, creativity, persistence, and a positive attitude. She is a dedicated and results-oriented professional who is always willing to go the extra mile.

I highly recommend Alexis to anyone looking for a talented and passionate Marketing and Business leader. Working with her has been a true pleasure, and I have no doubt that she will continue to excel in her career.

Dyfed “Fred” Richards – Founder, TheHive

“I have had the distinct pleasure of working for Alexis at Huhtamaki / Chinet and the experience was nothing short of excellent. Thankfully in Alexis what you see is what you get and in today’s smoke and mirrors business environment that was so refreshing: Passionate, direct, articulate, fun, curious, brilliant, organized, and all with a great vision for what a brand can deliver. Anyone fortunate enough to experience working alongside, with or for Alexis will be forever changed for the better for the experience – I guarantee it. Should you require any further recommendation beyond this please do not hesitate to contact me directly and I would be happy to help.”

Each year at Kaleidoscope host an invitation only brand conference for design managers and marketing executives. Normally we allow only one person per-brand or company to attend. This year was our 8th year and our biggest event yet even though hosted via Zoom due to the circumstances we find ourselves in. The attendee and speaker list is a who’s who of the CPG branding world: Coke, P&G, Bayer, Microsoft, Duracell, GSK, Miller Coors, MARS, Pepsi, SCJ, Gallo Wine, Google, Kimberley Clark, …. You get the general idea and bragging rights that go along with such name dropping.

So why is this important? At the last minute we had a presenter drop out of the conference for COVID related complications leaving us with a dilemma. We reached out to Alexis Guetzlaff to fill the role with less than 24 hours-notice. The role was to speak on a panel of experts to help answer the theme of the conference “Does Design have a Future?”  Alexis not only agreed to do so but was exceptional. Holding her own alongside P&G, Berry, Bayer and Duracell. Her poise, grace and insights were well received and delivered with passion. It is not often that I have the opportunity to go out of my way to compliment any individual for exceptional contribution but in this case it is not only warranted it needs to be recognized. You have a star in your midst and one that represented herself and your organization with world class thinking today.

Commercial Director – Manager at O-I (Previous Manager)

“Her energy and drive transformed the way that the Food/NAB sales team interacted with and utilized marketing as an enabler.

Amid a year with unforeseen demand variations, Alexis was able to use her deep knowledge of the market and data to help the sales team create a process for analyzing where they have the most demand risk.  Recognizing the risk in the market on the base volume, she conducted an immersive workshop for the sales team to provide a roadmap for finding & gaining new business.  This is just one example of how Alexis approaches everything – with positivity, creativity, and courage.”

VP of Retail – Manager while Sr. Brand Manager at Huhtamaki

“Alexis has the rare ability to work in both left brain and right brain modes.  She is equally comfortable with analytical and creative work, and she seamlessly moves between them and uses both as she develops business opportunities and looks for ways to resolve issues.  Alexis is fearless in learning new things and has a direct, responsive communication style…. Her passion and drive are contagious, and it is energizing to work with her.

Alexis has a clear vision for the brand and developed her own brand management skills very quickly to be able to create structure that would allow her agency partners to understand it and do their work in the process.  Alexis led a significant market research project to clarify brand positioning, target personas and key elements of brand equity. Her agency briefing process was the best I’ve seen of anyone in her role.  Alexis is exactly what the Chinet Brand needs at this point in its life cycle.”
